I got the opportunity to work with Jonny from Netflix 'Is It Cake' on his new branding! The new brand identity visually represents Jonny's comedic take on hyper-realistic cakes & his online silly-goose comedy sketches.
We were inspired by Betty Crocker’s recipe books from the 80s/90s taking it’s retro look, collaged imagery & funky, retro type as the base of the inspiration - all with a
modern & fun twist.
We drew inspiration from Jonny's 3D pop-art cake! Keeping the illustration style minimal & outlined so they can be easily changed / adapted to different cake styles that use stronger colour palettes or busy styles.
